Letter: Vote 'yes' for schools and courts

Strong schools and fair courts go hand in hand. Both are essential to a thriving democracy and a bright future for Pennsylvania’s students. On Nov. 4, let’s move Carlisle forward — vote for Bower, Lauritzen, Brousse and Rudy, and vote "yes" on judicial retention.

On Nov. 4, Carlisle voters have an opportunity to shape the future of education — both in our community and across Pennsylvania.

At the local level, I’m proud to support four outstanding, nonpartisan candidates for the Carlisle Area School Board: Sue Bower, Anne Lauritzen, Stephen Brousse and Amanda Rudy. All four are parents and taxpayers in our district who understand firsthand what’s at stake for Carlisle families, students and educators. Each brings experience, integrity and a shared commitment to putting students first, supporting great teachers and managing tax dollars responsibly. Together, they embody the values of good schools, great teachers, smart budgets.

These candidates believe in local control, transparency and accountability. They will guide the district through major facility improvements and the important K–8 transformation process while keeping community voices at the heart of every decision.

This election also includes judicial retention votes for Pennsylvania’s statewide courts. Voting "yes" on retention helps preserve a fair, independent judiciary — one that has consistently defended public education, upheld equitable school funding and protected every child’s constitutional right to a quality education.
