Letter: Strong schools, strong community

Stephen Brousse | The Sentinel

As I continue my campaign for Carlisle Area School Board, I’ve had the privilege of talking with more members of our community each week. These conversations have been inspiring, whether it’s hearing positive experiences with our schools, celebrating the pride our community has in its students or discussing thoughtful questions and areas where we can improve.

As both a Carlisle graduate and the father of two daughters currently attending Carlisle schools, these discussions resonate deeply with me. They also remind me why I’m passionate about serving on the board. As a civil engineer, I’m especially excited about upcoming facility renovations and new building construction, areas where my professional background can add real value for our district.

The more I attend games, school events, board meetings and committee discussions, the more excited I am about the opportunity to serve. Carlisle is a special place, and every interaction reminds me of how invested our families, teachers and neighbors are in the success of our schools.

If elected, I plan to carry this spirit of listening and collaboration onto the board. I believe in good schools, great teachers and smart budgets. And I believe we must always return to our founding principles: putting students first, respecting parents and teachers, managing district resources responsibly, and uniting our community to provide the best education possible for our kids.

I’m also proud to be running alongside Sue Bower, Anne Lauritzen and Amanda Rudy, dedicated candidates who share these same values. Together, we can ensure that Carlisle schools continue to thrive.

I ask for your vote on Tuesday, Nov. 4, so we can continue strengthening our schools together.

Stephen Brousse

Candidate for Carlisle Area School Board
