They will keep our school district focused on student educational needs, respecting parents and teachers, and working with the broader community to assure our children have access to high quality public education.
There are four incredible candidates running for the Carlisle Area School Board in the May 20 primary election. All have cross-filed to reflect their desire to keep partisan politics out of the education of the children living in Carlisle. Each brings unique experiences, expertise and energy to the school board.
Sue Bower is a parent and lives in North Middleton Township. She is focused on strong communications and engagement with parents and is an advocate for students with special learning needs.
Stephen Brousse is a parent and an engineer. As a parent, he has been active in the school community. As an engineer he will bring that expertise to the board as it embarks on building a new school and renovating Mooreland Elementary School.
Anne Lauritzen is a parent of Carlisle High School graduates. She also focuses on career exploration and education and has led efforts to broaden the exposure of all of the students to career opportunities, internships and more. She focuses on academic excellence for all students in the Carlisle Area School District.
Amanda Rudy is a parent and has been active in the school community. She supports parent engagement across the district. Amanda also serves on a governing body for a pre-school and understands the importance of early childhood education.
Please consider voting for Bower, Brousse, Lauritzen and Rudy for the Carlisle Area School Board on Tuesday, May 20. They will keep our school district focused on student educational needs, respecting parents and teachers, and working with the broader community to assure our children have access to high quality public education.
